Should I get a dussumieri tang (acanthurus dussumieri)

Beautiful fish and as everyone said, great personality but grows very fast!!! Mine outgrew my 150g in a few months and had to move him.

I thought you were the one that bought the Australian Dussumieri from NYaquatics since he mentioned it went to Alaska.
Your Dussumieri's coloration matches the ones he posted on his facebook account. Really nice coloration!

Ah, nope, that wasnt me! I got him from Rob while he was still alive and collecting out of Hawaii.

I know this thread hasn't had any activity for a long time, but I wanted to just add my two cents. We had an individual move out of the Orlando area and he needed to do something with his Duss. Since it had been in a 300 gallon aquarium, I offered for him to donate it to our school's 300 gallon. He was doing fine, but he was too big for that size aquarium. Within 4 months, we ended up donating him to SeaWorld.

If your tank isn't larger than a 300 gallon, do not get a Dussumieri! He will outgrow the tank.

I have a dussumieri in my 210gal. Eventually, I will have to move him on as he will definitely outgrow my tank tho...
