Should my macro display be this easy?

I have a 40B I set up with macro I clipped from my display refugium and 4 potted mangroves.
There are 2 Kessil A150 10K's over the tank and everything is doing great.

Questions:

1. As things progress, how often should I be doing water changes?
2. What numbers should I be chasing?
3. Are there any supplements I should add?

Or, just let it go and watch things grow?

So far, this display has been virtually maintenance free and nearly as fun as my 178 gal SPS display. Nearly.

Cheers,

Adam

If everything looks good, I wouldn't do anything. Let nature take its course.

Do you have any fish in there? If so, you may not need any supplements, what with the fish food and fish pooh, etc. If not, you may have to to supplement.

Sounds like it's doing great! Time to post pics…

I have a seahorse macro tank and I have to supplement magnesium every so often. You can get a kit to test mag.

Thanks for the replies.

I have 3 black/white chromis, an orchid dottyback and soon will add a tiny pygmy angel and tiny yellow coris wrasse. All have gone through TTM and full 4 weeks QT.

I need to post some pictures. My iphone 5 doesn't do what's going on in my 2 refugiums justice however. That makes me reluctant to post.

I assumed Mg would most likely get depleted over time and maybe a little Ca. Thanks for the confirmation.

Cheers,
Adam
