The anemone has been in this spot since Sunday night so we figure this is where it likes to be.

The clowns are pretty aggressive with it and nip at the tentacles occasionally or just sit there with the tentacles in their mouths.

We're a little worried that the tentacles are thinner than when we first got it.

Is it too early to start worrying?

In all honesty the anemone is a little small for the size clown that are in it, just see if you can keep the clown away from it for a few days til it gets better established and make sure he is feed well.

They look happy in their new home.

Can you see where the foot is attached?
I am guessing from the size it looks in your tank compared to what it did in mine, the foot is very extended into the back of the rock work....you are just seeing the tip of the anemone.

Yep, it's attached itself to that rock and appears to have a pretty good hold.

We've been watching and it doesn't seem to be getting a lot of food at feeding time. I might put on some thick gloves and see if I can't hand feed it without the clowns getting all the food or tearing off my hand. :)

Yesterday when I came home from work, the anemone looked some what normal.

However, I left and then came back about 2 hours later and it was all shriveled up on one side and the clowns weren't even going near it.

And then, about 2 hours after that, it looked like it did when I came home.

We kept an eye on it when we fed the tank and it would grab food but the clowns stole the food before it could pull it into it's mouth.

Going to pick up some silversides at the Asian market tonight or this weekend. I'll hand feed it so that I can distract the clowns while it eats.

When I got home from work yesterday I noticed the anemone was extended and looking healthy so I used a turkey baster to feed it some Spirulina Brine Shrimp and Squid. I had to keep the clowns away from the anemone while it ate.

It seemed to perk up even more through out the night so I'm thinking we'll feed it a little bit every day for the next while.

Do you think a small piece (1/4 to 1/2 inch) of silverside every day would be too much?

Sounds good, I think they prefer pieces without bones, well mine don't spit anything out, when it's got no bones.

Also whatever it doesn't want, it won't take! I had a sick magnifica once and I feed it everyday, till it looked healthy again. Just don't force it to eat.

Good luck.

It seems to be much healthier and it has been in the same spot for almost a week so we hope it has finally chosen its home.

So far we've feed it three 1/2" sized pieces of silverside (once a week since we got it). It ate the first piece no problem but then spit out the second, I figure it was because it was on the move and didn't want to "run" on a full stomach. ;) It ate the third piece no problem and was nice and full when I was looking at it last night.
