Show me some Elegance pics

They all died! Just kidding. I had one for about 8 weeks a few months ago. My LFS owner even warned me that they did not have a good track record these days. He was correct.

heres mine, had for over a year. they do not have a good survival rate, I've been through my share of them and I don't recommend them. probley 1 out of a 1000 make it . They look great for about 2 months, then its all downhill

Here was mine. It did great for about 4 months, was always open and ate great. All of a sudden it stopped eating and slowly withered until dying about a month ago.

I agree. LFS here orders in Moorish Idols all the time. So dad that there time is coming soon. Nice elegance coral guys. I have been wanting one but holding out till someone has one for sale they have had in there system for a LONG time.

Heres my elegance I picked up Oct 15 2005 from a local who got it as a bud from a large one. It has grown 3x bigger since I got it. My juv. onyx percs have taken a liking to it.

I'll try and take pics of my captive-bred one tomorrow. Now that the tank has been moved and has settled down, it's doing great.

Peace,

Chip

Chip, thats about what mine looked like when I got it.

How long have you had yours, and how big is it now?

Just trying to predict where mine is going. :)

Peace,

Chip

This coral is the center piece in my 280g tank in the front middle. The tank is lit by 4 250w MH's and 480w of actinic VHO's. There is over 5000 gph of water flow which switches from left to right every 3 minutes via and actuated ball valve. I do hand feed the elegance from time to time but it usually gets plenty of food just from daily feedings of the 30+ fish in the tank. This coralo when it fully swells up will be close to 24" long and over 12" tall. It has a horse shoe shaped skeleton. It's been in captivity for about 11 years+ now since I got it from someone getting out of the hobby.
