PITSTOP The more I look at your corals I think they could use more food. I do think the Radiums will help but a nice blender mush would really kick things up.......
Also, Ming Wei of Atlantis Aquarium runs them, John Susabilla (Tubs) runs them, Dr. Mac used to run them but switched to XM 20k.
They may be the best bulb for "coloring up" corals--especially wild ones.
Not cheap though.

That will give you enough for now, there are more, but I didn't have time to go through all!
PS.... I can never just go through the past tank of the months without look at Tim Herman's (therman) 40 breeder from '01. Anyone who says you can't have amazing coloration with a 400w Iwasaki and VHO's needs to look at this!

My calcium is at 430, alk 6.6.
Increased my Ca reactor effluent from 23 mL/min to 37 mL/min (reaction chamber pH 6.7)
In a nutshell, unless your pH is consistently over 8.6 and you are dosing kalk, your not overdosing kalk. I guess another scenario where you'd be overdosing kalk is if you dumped a few gallons of milky kalk at one time, causing your pH to spike over 9.5......
I have had XM 20k 400w'ers for a long time but recently went to the radiums. My outtake is that they are a lil more whiter then the XM's. They have a nice color to them but maybe a lil to blue still for me Im gonna try some white T5's with them to see what it looks like
