This is an old picture. The only one I think I have of the whole tank. It's from last May and much different now. The stand is the same. It's painted grey as I do not want any wood look in my living room. The stand cost me around 300 to build out of 3/4" birch ply. I could of used cabinet grade but I didn't really know back then. You could probably build it for about 150 to 200 easily.
If you like more modern look, check this out. Oceanic makes them, but maybe it will give you some more ideas. I used to have one of thoes tanks, i had the 46 gal before i moved and it was awesome looking.
yeah, but i was thinking that you could at least get an idea and make it yourself. It says thats it's actually a plastic thats colored so look like stainless steal. Or maybe you could even get a metalic type of paint?
Cutiewitbooty, I'd love to do a stainless piece, but something tells me that stainless and saltwater would not be fun to clean. Even my stainless appliances, just from normal use, are a bear to keep looking pristine.
it's not really stainless steal though, but on thoes oceanic tanks it is a PITA to keep it streak free, espically with saltwater streaks lol Everything shows, grrrrrr
