I admire large eels &fish heres a pic of a couple of mine show me yours everybody.

Paveking, what sized tank is your DME in and does he bother/kill/try to eat tankmates?

I was thinking of making my 75g a species only tank for one but was afraid it was too small. I also have a 240g FOWLR but would had to loose my Aust Tusk, Queen Angel, and others to the teeth and appetite of a DME.

Great eel.

Hes in my 144 . he doesnt botther anybody in the tank.when i first got him he ate my lunar wrasse nothing since.
 
I dont think so they usally dont get longer than 30",buy him small & let him grow & color . If you buy one 95 harley get japan version much better colors. good luck with it.
 
Yep I plan on it. I'm watching the 29" beauty on Live Aquaria but I need my Golden Moray to grow up and move into my 240g.
 
Heres some pics of my Jeweled eel + Goldentail......Unfortunately I lost the Goldentail in a heater incident when my tank got too hot a few months back. Im replacing him with a Brazilian Dragon in a couple weeks.

Thanks Harley, I am sure going to miss him! I've had him for about 2.5 years, and he has grown from 16" to just over 2'. He's had his own 120 gallon home and is a constant source of entertainment for house guests. My fiance wants to finally turn this tank into a community tank, so he has got to go (hopefully to a good home) my LFS has agreed to take him on consignment for me, I know he is going to go fast.
now I just have to figure out how to catch him and retain all my fingers at the same time.
 
Well I would love to post some pics of my Stellatus puffer and my snowflake, Unfortunately, the puffer got tired of sharing the tank and when I got home from work yesterday the puffer was gorged and my poor eel was laying in the middle, half gone!! It WAS about 12-13". The puffer always picked on the eel and I was going to set up his own tank when I move. But he saved me the hassle :(
