Thanks man, it is lacquer. I wanted it to look slightly glossy/shinny but not over the top.

Really like your stand...Few questions...do you have any close up photos the columns in the corners. Are they two separate boards that are ripped on a 45 to meet up.

Not sure if my stand constitutes "fancy", but it is custom and I am happy with the overall balance of the build and it matches the room well.

It matches our white trim in the house. It has to be "nice" to be allowed on our main floor according to the boss. Haha

No I wish it did. This was my first stand and canopy build, I have learned many thing that I will change for the next one.
