Show me Your Fancy STANDS!!!

T8T - Really digging your choice of wood and design. The black accents are real sweet.

Thank You. It was suggestion from my father. He is the one who builds the quality pieces. He has built some really nice gun cabinets out of black walnut and maple.
Basically the same concept but where there are black accents there is blonde maple. It's hard to envision but really nice.

My Next setup will have all sorts of new ideas integrated.

Here is the build thread of this tank:

I had some MDF and lumber left over from another project so i built a stand for our 55, but I built it big enough for a future 75g.

So I skinned it in MDF, put some plaster in the joints and sanded it down, and gave it a coat of paint.

I can't even compete with you guys. I built my stand in the back yard with just a skill saw, hammer, and a miter saw. I need to spend less on my tanks and more on my tools... lol My tank is 72"x18", so I built my stand 72"x24", so that I could put a 75g sump under my 135g tank, that's why I added the extra 2x on top and the girders for it. I also have an access panel in the side of the tank for easy access or removal, in case Murphy decides to pay a visit. My doors are just slide down over the notch and catch type doors, if my kids see a handle, they have to open it.... (They are only 3 and 9 months). It's not as fancy, but I like that rustic look.... The stands in this thread are awesome. Extremely nice.... All I can say is WOW....

nice job...........im redoing my stand for my 120...gona make it large enough for a 180....76 inches...thinking about putting granite on top?....need ti make stand 72inches/6ft...top to be 76inches....trying to work out a metal frame...or will just build a wood one...but going to purchase pre-made/stained cabinet frts...less work....the wifes idea......they sometime have to have it thier way.....keep them happy....

Here is my new stand build. A good friend, and very well known local reefer is building it for me. So far he has the stand finished, and will be starting work this week on the canopy.
Once finished, it will be painted a dull black.
Tank is a 36x24x18 67g aquarium

Here's my concept for my new stand. It should be finished mid May. This will be a three tier bookshelf/fish stand. First tank being my current shallow tank, then a NPS and then a small bonsai nano. Should look pretty cool when completed.

The stand will be power coated white and the shelf's will be a light birch wood.

Hey guys, here is mine.

[Tray out]
DSCF6699.jpg

What did you use to allow that tray to slide in and out? I have a steel stand that I'm going to skin and I want be able slide the sump and pump in and out of the stand for maintenance or equipment replacement. I'm going to build a waterproof tub to hold everything and then I was thinking I would simply weld some steel angles inside the stand and put some sort of wheeled track on the bottom sides of the tub. Any info would be appreciated.
