Here is mine. Almost finished stand for a 210 Gallon 72x24x29 tank. This tank is going into a finished breezeway adjacent to our kitchen which we custom built several years ago. The cabinets are maple so I am building the stand from maple and it is designed to match the kitchen cabinets. Below is a picture of the kitchen cabinets followed by the tank cabinet which is almost complete. Just staining and building a suspended canopy for it now. The suspended canopy will match the detail work above the stove hood and will be suspended. It will house the customer built LED that I am doing now.
The work is being done by a friend of mine that is a professional finish carpenter. From the design including draws the sump and all associated hardware is in actually in the basement so I was more interested in storage space and furniture quality.

The pillars really are what set it off. very nice. please be sure to post a pic of the finished project. I'm curious as to how you're going to utilize the cabinet space below.

Funny, my wife asked me the same question. So far that makes three of us. Before I give it up for "non reef tank" related uses maybe I should start a thread. What to do with a ton of unused space? If I don't do something with it I may find tupperware and other kitchen related stuff in it.
Ahh wait a minute, that's why she is letting me do this. :idea:

That shows how brain washed I am. I automatically assumed that you were going to house the normal amenities like a sump/refugium, protein skimmer, various reactors, wires, plumbing etc.
Not once did I think you were going to use it for things other than reef related..... :spin2:
without having an open bottom that makes more sense.

My stand is done (Post #563) and was delivered last night. More pictures to follow with it in position and the 210G tank inside at last.
The light bridge is also almost done for my custom LED build that I am in the process of doing right now. The light bridge is a box 8" high x 6' x 22" and is divided in the center by a 3/4" piece of plywood. It is framed in Maple. My light assembly is being built in two pieces on strut material (follow later). Below is a picture of the pieces of the panels that will attach to the bridge in the front and sides. Unfinished, almost done.

English? I assume your looking at something perhaps the car? Anyway, as I said in the early part of the thread this is being built by a buddy of mine. This picture was taken at his house.

So here it is, in what will be it's final location. Much work to be done but this is progress.
And here is the tank that is being replaced. ETA on the final move of the tank is April or May 2011.
So much work to be done, so little time:
- Finish LED Light Build and Light Bridge
- Run plumbing to basement below and over one room under kitchen
- Paint back of tank
- Install sump and all basement equipment
- Plumb in tank
- Water test all plumbing
- Drain tank and start rock work (yet to be figured out)
- Fill and start cycle
- ...... Wait impatiently
- Transfer 90 to 210 and add additional livestock and corals
Nothing to it.
