Show me Your Fancy STANDS!!!

Wow, the position of where you put this tank is unique. Did you design it to fit that space?

I particularly like that you have access all the way around the tank. Where are the power chords for the tank?

Yes I did. Idea was to be able to view the tank from at least 3 sides without bending down too much. Top of the tank is 5'10". Even back of the tank is finished maplewood panel. There is one cord on the back side entering the cabinet, everything else is distributed from there.

Finished.

Finished.

Got mine finished up. Just put the canopy on today.

Here's my stand that I built 2 years ago, and I'm just finally getting around to setting up a reef tank on it. The frame is poplar, and the exterior is cherry and walnut. The cherry has a really nice curly figure that looks like waves. The walnut looks really nice as well. I was only using it to hold a small freshwater tank in my bedroom for a while, so I made it double as a dresser and put drawers in it. The drawers are pulled out now, and I'm putting a 22 gallon sump in it and an 48"x18"18" low-iron glass rimless tank on top.

Nice stand and home theater Quicksilver. Love the Walnut/Cherry combo. How wide is that screen, 120"?

Thanks! I just drilled my 65 gallon and put it on the stand last night. I'm really looking forward to finishing the plumbing and getting some water in it!

The screen is a 114" wide 2.35:1 screen if I remember correctly.

Modern Cube/AI

These photos are of a stand that I built for a friends new AI lit, 60 gallon cube. Built of a combination of Solid and plywood maple with a two tone finish that matched his existing furnishings.

Hoping this post gets this great thread going again.

I think mine is pretty good for being 13 and my dad never making anything like this. This is my 75 gallon built into where my closet was... Who needs one anyway! ;)
