Show me Your Fancy STANDS!!!

es1887, beautiful work! I love the elegant simplicity in the design, as well as the color. I normally prefer dark wood, but I think the cabinet would look plain if it was too dark. The lighter (for my tastes) wood allows the...lack of details, I guess...stand out. Your wood source makes it more impressive.

humaguy,
Very nice I like the subtle touch of the fluting on the sides.

pantherguy30,
I like yours too. I would imagine that the walnut strip continues on the top of the stand too???

Before canopy build:

Just finished the canopy(doors not done yet) and put the two tops together. Still getting used to having an 8+ foot tall tank. Kind of throws me everytime I see it...only been up for a couple days now. I should probably wait to post the pic with the doors but here it is without because I'll forget:

Not as fancy as a lot i've seen on here, but i am just now finished filling the main tank with water. First pic is of the display fuge, second with the DT and skimmer, pump installed in fuge. And yes, to head of criticism, i put the skimmer after the display. The display will have mostly macros and some clean up crew type animals. ATO container is on the bottom shelf behind that swing down panel. Along with some space for food and maintenance equipment.

Kind of a dark picture, but you get the idea. Operation CatTV = success :fun4:

It's reclaimed hard wood for our 55G. Has a drawer underneath for stashing supplies. I didn't make it myself. Had it made, but retrofitted it for all the plumbing and electrical

I am not a carpenter so can't really compete with all those great stands, but here is mine super simple , modern design.

Just finished this DIY stand.

The stand is wider than my apartment doorway so I designed it to be easily disassembleable and flat packable. Here are some pics to show it all fits together.
