some nice pictures there guys.

Nice pics Desert Fox. Mind sharing you equipment and how you got those first few shots. I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi Tom. Thanks for the compliment. Both the trigger shots were taken about a year and a half ago with a D70, diffused SB-800 off camera, and a Tamron 90mm. The Niger is extremely playful, so it's not difficult to get a bunch of keeper shots of him. Honestly, he's quite the ham. The Clown took a tremendous amount of patience. He's really shy and hides from the flash the instant he sees me walking around with it. I think i just got lucky that day as i got a few i was satisfied enough with to keep.

I've tried a lot of different combinations for aquarium shooting, including the D2x and D300, Nikon's awesome 105mm lens, and various others, and lots of Canon combos, too, and i always go back to my D70. It's become my all time favorite camera, and i'm the most consistent with it when it comes to shooting things in the water. Landscapes and aviation are a different story, though.

Hope you enjoyed 'em. :)

And my new favorite picture! I saved this humming bird this morning. He smashed into a window and I revived him.

crazedpuffer I was sitting on the patio having breakfast with my girlfriend when the humming bird smashed into the window behind me at what seemed like 100mph, then bounced into my back. I quickly snatched him up and my girlfriend rubbed a bit of water on his beak. That woke him up but he wasn't moving his wings or legs for about 20 minutes. We though his neck was broken. So I just kept holding him in the sun until he warmed up and felt better. We went to give him some sugar water and he flew away. So a happy ending =)
