Being a long time grouper fan and having had a few myself, Im interested in seeing what you all have. Im very interested in the not so common ones, but still have a love for them all! Post up, lets see those pics so I can get some inspiration in selecting one or two myself. Thanks!

I as just about to post up a thread like this! I am really considering a miniatus or Argus grouper, although I'd love a lyretail (variola louti) but they get huge. Free bump! Lets see those basses!

Here is my Plectropomus Maculatus grouper. They are not very common within the hobby, and when very young, they look exactly like a Miniatus. This Grouper has no interest in resting up in the rock like most species of Grouper. Instead he prowls back and forth 24/7 without stopping, looking for his next prey.

Only because it had to ;) I fed it fresh seafood that had been soaked in a mix of crushed pellets, whole pellets and some other things that were liquid and helped it all stick to the seafood.

He would pull a piece in, spit it out, pull it in, spit it out, until most of the mix was off then swallow it for good. So no, he didnt really care for pellets ;)
