Most acans grow best when there placed on a flat chunk of live rock. This gives the base of the acan something to attach to. I've had a few fully encrust over a hard area in my sand bed and now are not removable. Indirect current will help them attach faster.

here is my 45 I just started with coral a little bit ago but enjoy.

torch coral which was the first coral i bought
hammer coral
have mushrooms
duncans

Guess I should update since I am not in the 45 anymore upgraded to a 90....Here is the new look and you can see the growth on a few pieces I had and a few new ones.
