show me your rare ricordia

there are many RC vendor sponsors (see vendor section) that would be happy to sell you any color you want and ship it to your door....

Those are absolutely gorgeous! Do you have a sump? What cleans your water? Mine always has particles floating in it and the rocks look dusty.

Here is one that I just picked up. Not sure how special it is but I like the looks of it.

Thanks everyone for sharing great shots of rics and mushrooms. Is there a trick on special feeding, water parameters or husbantry could be followed?

I added a fiter sock about 6 weeks ago and just removed it after realizing my mushrooms got smaller. I just added 12 rics, but expect the sock was removing the nutrients needed by both the rics and mushrooms.

Very nice pics all. Tahoe, being a long time fan of R. Florida, I'm drooling looking at your tank. Nice job:thumbsup:

Wow i clearly underestimate how many colors and color combinations they are.
The green ric i have seem to be turning into a green yellowish

I run polyfiber in a plastic mesh sock that gets replace every few days. Ricordeas are one of the things that do exceedingly well in my tank but i'm not 100% sure why. I do keep a fairly "dirty" tank, just dirty enough to grow a bit of nussiance algae. I only use about 2 cups of carbon (per month) in a 140g of water and a skimmer rated for a 75g tank.

Thanks! The tank has been through alot of changes over the last 1 1/2 years, it's finally starting to come together. To get a compliment on the tank made my day.

these threads are hard to look at!
when you see these coral specific thread with the show me titles, it makes you itch to get some. =) some ricordia that is.
nice pics, ill have to post up a few of mine when my camera charges up.
a buddy gave me some free yumas the other day, they are brown, but they have the sickest brightest neon pink lines in them i have ever seen.

Not sure they are rare, but not common. Picked them up as "cuban" rics. Meh, don't really care if they are or aren't...just like the different colors they have:

What's that blue, orange, and black thing in the top left corner?

Thanks Peter. I have been a huge fan of R. Florida even before they became a popular coral. I had my first Rics in 1990.

 Me too!! Some blue ones with a single orange one came in on a GIANT rock. Back then you only bought whole rocks of mushrooms. Never did know what they were until YEARS later...
