Show off your rare fish

Funny, you should ask...I stopped there Sunday, and was surprised to see a new name/sign on the building! Lou and Carlos were not there, and the 1 worker was busy, so I took a quick look and left.
He lives closer to you and I in Somers and closed his dog/puppy stores up here, so I'm wondering! I may stop there tomorrow.

hmm, let me know, hope all is well...I used to shop there in the mid 80's and very early 90's... as you know, I am a Westchester guy, so that was one of my lfs...
I went to college up in Ithaca, NY, 84-88, in Sept 1985 Lou called me at college to tell me got in 3 Clown Triggers, my roommate and I immediately jumped in his car and drove 4 hours down, picked em all up, and drove 4 hours back up to school, lol, was quite the trip...and they were all stunning fish, it is almost hard to find that quality today...the white spots were so bright they almost hurt your eyes and the spots lower down on the belly were glazed with traces of light blue..
do you remember Matt? he was the main owner back then....lou bought him out in the early 90's, I think? any idea how he is doing?
once they moved and started selling birds, puppies/kittens, lol, I found it hard to go in....I stopped in maybe 8-9 years ago to say hello to lou but that was the last time I was there...
but he was a terrific source of fish for me as a young salt geek...man, I loved that store, used to hang out there and talk fish...in the orig location, the pizza place that was in the shopping center on the left was excellent!

Wow...in the 80's there were probably 10+ LFSs on Central Ave between Yonkers and Wh Plains! I must have seen you once or twice, on my weekly rounds. I actually knew Lou from when he worked in Mt Kisco in his father's
Liquor store, which was next to one of our dealerships.

Now with Maximum, and Michael (NYA) right there, its hard to justify going elsewhere.

yeah, we probably ran in the same circles...
yes! Central ave was killer...there were 4-5 that I used to hit regularly...remember when "into the deep" opened up the shopping center with the movies and Turcos?
I had high hopes for that store but only shopped there a couple timed before moving to Hawaii...think it was closed when I returned...
you remember Bronx runs, lol?
