Ok Jmait, what kind of camera do you have, GREAT looking pics! Do you have a DSLR? I am looking into getting one, so would like to know what you have.

Thanks but the fish gets all the credit! I love the character of that Sailfin. Always at the glass watching me!!

Camera is a Canon Xti with kit lens I got at Christmas. I’m just learning how to use it so appreciate the kind comments! :)

Well, you are learning quickly. My sailfin is just to fast for my slow camera and it's even harder to get a picture with his fin up. Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck when I get my DSLR.

question for all you people out there with Blue Hippos how to u keep them alive and do you think that one will survive in a 90

I personally would not put one in a tank smaller than 6' (125 gallons). They are very big swimmers. Some say you can have a Hippo in a smaller tank when it's a Juvi, but just from having my Hippo for about 6 months, they grow fast. I soak some pellets in Vita-Chem about 4xs weekly to keep away HILE and other problems. I do notice if I go to long without giving her the vitamins she starts getting the discolor around the eyes, but she stays looking great if I stay on top of it. Oh, and I use the pellets because it's a dry food and soaks up more of the vitamin. Of course my other fish get some too but I figure it can benefit all of them. I also make sure I feed my tangs Algea sheets almost every day.

Get a wrasse. A yellow coris wrasse is a great fish for a 90 and will eat certain pests you do not want in the aquarium. I love my coris.

kar93, how about tangs i use to have? these are from a tank i tore down 3 years ago before i moved.
