As you can see, he has his work cut out. Plenty of algae to eat.

I can see a phosphate reactor in the very near future.

haven't posted this guy yet...

well, actually I just posted some pics on my thread, but here's a couple for all of us one this thread too... after my experience adding this guy, I am going to try a purple tang in the very near future... I'd love a small shoal of my three favorite zebrasoma species... they're so beautiul... I'm considering trading away my convict tang to help the situation as well... but here's my scopas for now...

lowendmelody great pictures love them.

Gabriel great pictures. Love the tangs Looks great. Looks like the orange shoulder might be starting to change near the back half of its body.

@yukonblizzard I don't know why nobody mantioned that but your yellow tang shows sign of hlle. What do you feed him? Or got him like that? I got mine/rescued him with something very similar if not worse. I wrote from work, so later afternoon/evening will try to post his picture from home.

Yeah I know he has hlle, it started after he had some ich so I did a low dosage of copper treatment for him. Days later it began to develop:mad:

I feed purple seaweed, nori, forumula 2 flakes and pellets, formula 1 flakes, and a mix of squid, clambs, salmon, and siversides, but it doesnt seem to help.

Here is mine day after I got him, I felt that I need to help little fella. He was also exposed to copper :(

Couple of weeks later (not the best picture):

Now after another couple of months you can't see any signs of hlle (don't have any pictures).
I fed mine green seaweed, different frozen mixtures (formula1&2, mysis shrimp, angel formula and spirulina formula. All soaked in selcon or garlic extreme. I am not saying that all of these is needed to help the fish with hlle, some of them definitely helped ("greens").
I tried to cut feeding any kind of flakes or pellets, with exception of New Life Spectrum Thera-A Formula (you can find it at marinedepot.com-even mine sand sifting goby likes it).
Definitely I would try more "green frozen food".
Good luck.

sadly my big powder blue who had been with my for a year and a half passed today. i don't know why really. he was eating but started looking thin 3 days ago. then stopped eating all together yesterday.

he will be missed.
