Just curious why you want to replace a clown tang? Majority of these fish are going to come to your tank fine and randomly die out of nowhere.

Most of these fish are caught with cyanide and people think they have a great fish that people said are hard to keep and one day perfectly healthy to dead. Easy as that.

There's reasons why you don't see more of them in tanks.

1. Mortality rate
2. tank requirement (similar to sohal)

I'd replace it with another fish other than a tang though if you still have only a 90 gallon.

Yea T5 i know what your saying but i always loved these fish. I think the reason he died because he got caught in a rock and got all cut up and really coulnt swim to well. But like i said i love these fish and yea i know they are hard to keep and are very territoral.

Here is a few pics of all my tangs

Yeah, that PBT looks really bad, it's lips are even growing growths which you usually see in only really bad cases.

Alot of it is bubbles in the water. He does have some spots that come and go. As for the lips they look the same as they did when I bought him a year ago. I have 3 cleaner shrimp that dont really clean him much at all. Guess Ill look more into the lip thing. None of the other tang show signs of ich. I just put a deposit on an achilles tang this evening. Plan on bringing it home on 4/4. I have a few pics I took at the store Ill post later.

Thanks Nagle. Yea the cleaner shirmp wont help cure the ich fully but they will help a little with it. The achilles sounds nice but your going to have to watch agression between the PBT and achilles. Good luck. Cant wait to see the pictures.

Achilles are also very susceptible to ich, if you're putting him into a tank that has a pbt that is covered in it, you can expect the achilles to have the same covering as well. Since it will be stressed out from the shipping and what not, you're going to have a harder time keeping that fish alive.
