Show size naso!

I was at my lfs shopping the other day and they had just gotten this bad boy in.

the picture quality sucks it was on my phone but its a hawaiian naso tang and was every bit of 14". And absolutely stunning colors!! One of if not the biggest and prettiest tangs ive ever seen in an aquarium. The thing that blew my mind was that i just saw one on divers den a month or two ago same size for $999.99. They were selling it here for $249.99. The fish was a vacuum cleaner he was so fat and they put some nls pellets in so we could see him eat and he devoured about two tablespoons worth in about a minute!!

Yea 100% sure. Someone on rc had posted a thread saying "help me spend $1000.00" and a poster replyed with a link to the dd 14" naso for 999.99 it was actually on sale from 1200.00. But that blonde nasso in the link you posted is only 8" so thats prob why the price difference. That picture you linked from DD is beautiful though! Thanks for sharing it!

Just over 2 decades ago (( before digital cameras, so no pictures )) in college I held one for a friend while he moved. Had to have been 15 inches, with trailers. It scared me just how big it was, and how fast it could move. This was in an 4 foot long 55, it could get go from one side to another in about a second. The wake it created while doing that was huge and splashed water all over the floor.

To this day, still hope to have a tank big enough to keep one for more than a couple of days.

Very nice but I thought Hawaii Nasos were the regular brunettes. Blondes from the Indian Ocean right?

Yea im pretty sure your right, the one in the picture i posted is a regular naso not a blonde nasso. Its hard to tell because his fins are pulled in but they are the regular dark color not the vibrant orange yellow that the blonde nasso has
