I Just ordered a Duncan online and would love to see a picture of other peoples. Plus any good advice on keeping them.
I heard feeding helps a lot! What do you think would be the best flow? And any suggestion for placement would be apreciated. I have a 55g with 216w of T5's. Sand bed or on the rocks? I paid $34 for three heads Is that a fare price? Supposedly they were marked down from $65.

i have mine on the sand, sheltered by a rock so they get enough flow to keep the tentacles moving. I have had excellent luck with feeding them every other day with mysis. i would say that $34 for 3 heads is a fair price. here is a picture of mine

I paid $20 for a single head. Is now about 6 heads after 4 month's. Mine is in the sand in a 55 w/260 watt PC.:bounce1:

its been awhile since my last post so i hope the pick works, 23 heads for $50. they must be cheap over here?

I can't say on the price but usually if you find a fellow reefer you can get good deals.

i got a 20-30 head piece from a guy in michigan(where i live) for 50$ and some of the heads are almost an 1 1/2" across.

i plan on fragging it soon. a LFS by my house was selling a single head for 20$ and i saw it today and it did not look good at all...

but i got the giant aussie green polyp ones. there nice, open up huge a few hours after the lights are on.

I am sure you get a lot of good deals in australia for local specimens.

Mortis13, nice peice! Did you see much growth since you have had it?

my favorit coral, easy to take care of. had 2 heads about a year ago and 9 altogether now. you will enjoy them

I am keeping mine in my lowest light area with moderate flow now. Doing this just because I am running out of room in my tank. They are great and easy to keep. I don't feed mine any more just because I don't remember. My clowns host my Duncans now. Good luck, and I think you got a good deal. :)

Just noticed that my female perc is hidden in this pic. :)

All nice pieces! I can not wait to get mine!
How big are your polyps? I heard there are some varieties are smaller than others.

Here's my duncan. This baby was 5 headed approx a year ago. I lost count ever since:p
I keep her in strong turbulance flow, on the top, but not under direct light.

The second variety has a head size of approx 1.5 inches not counting tentacles

Girlfriend bought me a piece with ~10 heads for my birthday last February for $40. The piece has since grown at least 5 or 6 new developed heads. There's a polyp in the middle that is pushing 2.5" diameter when fully extended.
