Nice pictures 2addicted, I love the clowns is the first one a cinnamon clown or Fire Clownfish?

Thanks! The first one is a barless amphiprion melanopus. Its a cinnamon clown without the white stripe. I wish I could find a mate for her.

thanks. That "acan" in the plate photo is a bowerbankii :)

The purple/green and orange/blue plates were from Aquatic Collection in Hayward, CA and the other 3 are from Reef Odyssey in Santa Barbara, CA. Carson/Joe at AC don't update their pages but have really nice stuff. Ian at RO constantly updates. I doubt anyone wants to drive out there :-D

I could come over with my saw and we could all have some plates. JK

Or maybe my hammer and chisel. LOL

Hah!

Unfortunately most plates don't propogate well like that. In my other group, there are some gentle techniques being tried out but I need to check their status.

Nice I never had luck with cinnamon clowns, and don't know why. How long have you had her? They are kind of hard to find where did you pick her up?

I know you can technically frag them, but they don't recover or grow the same as other LPS when you frag them.

The other way some of us are trying is basically using tissue from their underbase.

I have had her about five months. I picked her up from clarks. Yeah i guess she is pretty rare. Another guy that I was talking to here on RC said in his fifteen years in the hobby he has only seen three including mine, I havent talked to anyone else that has ever seen the barless ones. I think she was collected in the coral sea, the same place that the regular cinnamons come from. I am very happy with her but she might have to go soon due to a tank downgrade. :( Its either her or the mated pair of ocellaris and I cant choose.
