Here are mine. Just lost my orange plate recently for who knows what reason. The plate with all the babies had 50 last I counted. Im hoping my orange one sprouts babies just like it did.

Wow, I LOVE this thread! My Fungias are my favorite corals and the first thing I always check out at trade shows are - you guessed it - Fungias!
...Can't believe I didn't stumble upon this thread earlier...

PS: My dog looks up when anyone says Fungia! Kidd you not

Sorry for the poor picture quality. These pics are also about 1.5 yrs old. The green plate is now alot bigger than the orange one, and you can see how in the top-down shot they're about the same size.
The green Tongue is about 50% larger now.
I will try to shoot new pics and update!
In the meantime, let's see what you got!!

Whoa these plates are insane. Can you move those baby corals around or are the fastened to the skeleton of the dead mother plate? are the like quarter sized? Do they sprout up anywhere? How long does it take for them to reproduce? Tell me i must know!

trying to help my friends plate coral. it has lost some of the green tissue and the tentacles seem dormant on that spot . otherwise a pretty coral

I have a third one that I need to get a pic of that I grew from a baby and it's like nothing I've ever come across and would be interested to know what species it is.

Here is my third one. Anyone seen something like this before? All of the faint lighter green spots are mouths. I haven't counted but there must be 20 or more on this guy. I picked it up at the LFS when it was a baby about the size of an eraser on a pencil, it's now a 4"-5" diameter. It was so small they weren't even sure what it was.

Yes they are attached to the plate they sprouted about 3 months after it died. They are about the size of a dime but are growing quick. Once they get large enough they will pop off and a new one will start to grow from their.
