Yes indeed! I collected this guy myself... a "relic species" endemic to Hawaii... Of all of the wonderful Hawaiian fish Jack Randall chose this species to put on the cover of his new Hawaiian reef fish book that outweighs my three month old daughter... :)

WOW I am surprised that all you angelfish fanatics didn't get this earlier after looking at some of your guesses, I thought white phase Mac Angel and I was right!

Nice pull Jake. Photo CC by Doug Deep. Edit: The photo was actually cited as C. bicolor, but the partial markings lead me to believe C. orientalis as well.

Cheilinus undulatus. Napoleon wrasse?

I have a juvie (pre-CITES) that looks nothing like this, but I think young males have this reticulated pattern on their cheeks.

I searched high and low for the scientific name but got skunked. Sedro your pic is one of the many dwarf perchlets becoming available. Give a minute and i will get you a scientific. T
