Quick question, what are the 3 baffels for before your skimmer? Do you have filter material in those or bio balls?

The water flows over the first, under the second, and over the 3rd one. This creates a bubble trap. I have no mechanical filtration. After I do a water change, I run carbon in a phosban reactor for 2-3 weeks.
 
The hawkfish is no longer with us. I found him behind my tank Sunday morning. A moment of silence..........................

Thank you for responding, it was hard to tell from the picture. I have a 30g fuge, and I know it isn't perfect. I am gathering ideas so the next one I build will be much better.

Where does your water enter the fuge and then go back to the tank at? I must have not looked very closely at your picture. Sorry
