I just witnessed the death of my small peppermint shrimp at the "foot" of a nassarius snail. I couldn't believe it all was well, I went and watched a movie and came back just a little to late...
Nassarius snails are carrion eaters, not predators.
FWIW it's very difficult to tell when an animal is not well until it's too late. The snail would not attack an animal that is well but will eat the dead and dying.
