shrimp molting

do shrimp loose there antennas when they molt or the skin aroung the antenna if there is such a thing?

When they molt, they shed everything. If the antennas are missing, something is attacking it.

sry what i ment is i havent seen the shrimp today and alls i saw was either the antennas or the skin of the antenna.

After they molt, they will hide out until their new shell hardens, usually it takes a day or two.

mine did the same all I found were two little hollow antennae "sheathes" in the intake of my Powerhead... for half a second I thought he'd been sucked into it... because he was hiding under a rock...

thats what i thought to but i found hime and he is fine

kinda of topic but is it safe to keep pepperments with a skunk cleaner and lps and softies
