Shrimp Problems...

Hey there peoples,

I've got a couple of Camel Shrimp in my tank, been there since July of last year. Has left everything in the tank alone, untill now. I just got a new Acan Lord frag a couple of weeks ago, and today I came home and one of the shrimp has turned it into a buffet (I caught it in the act). I've put covered the acan with a soda bottle top (cut some vents into it to allow flow through) to keep the shrimp off. Just a little upset to say the least.

Now the question, anyone got a good way to remove a couple of shrimp from a tank??

Thanks for your helps,

Jeremy

LOL I got the same problem, they arent eating the acan, they're ripping the food outta its mouth. Then eating the lord. =( Only good shrimp are cleaners I'm finding. Fire are agressive and dont like the light, peppermints are useless too.

Don't feed the tank for a few days. then put the net in and put the food in the net. The camels should be greedy enough to try to get the food anyways.

Use a soda bottle as a trap. put some food in, place it in the tank. Dont feed them for a little bit before you do it. If they are hungry they will go in for the food. Once they are in hank the bottle out. Hey I have 2 Skunks, 2 Fires and 5 Peps. They all live together fine. My fires and Skunks are usually together all the time.

I had the same thing happen with my camel. Had him for a year, then one day he developed a taste for brain flesh, along with my new acan. I tried the soda bottle trick and I will tell you that camels are very very smart. He never fell for it. I managed to catch my cleaner shrimp and a hermit
Fortunately for me the camel died :)
