Shrimp Vs Sixline

Hello all, I wanted to get a three peppermint or two cleaner shrimp for my 75. Will the sixline wrasse attack these?

Have these in your tank together?

I have a 6- line in with two fire shrimp in my 180 and the are fine. I think the shrimp either have to be large, or in there before the 6-line. Any shrimp added after the 6-line may be looked at as food.

i dont think so ....... i have a cleaner shrimp and a sixline in my tank...... they have been together for over a year now without a problem

Same for me. Sixline and cleaner shrimp. No problems at all.

My 6-line's are over 2" long and are housed with skunk cleaner and blood red shrimps. The shrimp were added after the wrasse's in both tanks. No issues so far.

sixline with coral banded shrimp. no problems whatsoever. the shrimp is rather large now but the sixline is probably around 3"

Well I just got my order in from Live Aquaria because AquaWorld does not give PMASI a discount anymore. I did the "build your own clean up crew". I got 4 peppermints and my Sixlibe Wrasse and Clowns are going after them. I do not see them now they are hiding. I hope they survive because I did not want to spend $20 on fish food...

Should I wait it out?

Shrimp are med size and sixline is around 2 1/2".

Yes pellets and cyclopeeze.

I just think the clowns did not want them in their area and the wrasse is always eating and searching for food, even after his belly is full....

i saw 2 of them just now....see how they hold in the next 24 hours.

(I did not turn the light on when they were put into the tank.)

I had a couple in the tank before this one, and they didn't come out much when the lights were on. Alot of times changes in conditions will cause a shrimp to moult. It can be a pain when introducing them to a new tank because they're very vunerable at this time. Try to give them time to find a nook to hide in before you turn the lights on today.

Mine were MIA for over a week after i put them in the tank. I saw them after about 3 hours with no lights last night. But then again i have nothing that will eat them.

I give liveaquaria build your own a big thumbs up also..

...well I like inverts and got 6 peppermints tonight after the meeting and the sixline is chasing them and trying to eat them....I fed my fish when I got home and the shrimp were put in 30 minutes later.

I must have a mean sixline. I will have to catch him using "pop bottle method" and sell him.

The other fish could care less that they were put into the tank.
