Shrink tubing

Does anyone know if heat shrink tubing is reef safe? My LocLine is drawing in air and causing serious micro bubbles. I'm wondering if I can wrap them in heat shrink and seal the joints, but still allow them to flex. Anyone have any experience with this?

i use heat shrink at work and i get kinda stiff after you shrink it.
