Shroom Question

I've got a silly question. If I buy a mushroom with a single mushroom will it propogate to multiple shrooms or will the one shroom just get bigger?

If the shroom is small, it will grow first then it's base will leave a piece of tissue behind (as it retract its base) that will eventually becomes a new individual. You can artificailly induce multiplication by cutting the shroom in the middle like a pizza pie. I prefer not to make more than 4 slices.

Do you have to include a piece of the "center" for each of the pieces to grow?

I would think not. Remember the "base" tissue I mentioned earlier? If I were to do it, I will make sure that each individual piece has a base attached to the rock so I don't have to worry about them drfting in the water current/placing them in a low flow area/ blah. blah.

Shrooms generally aren't very delicate - they will spread under average water conditions.
