My brother has some Green Fluorescent Mushrooms in his 24g Aquapod & a few of them sem to be folgin over on itself. Kind of like a taco I guess you could say. He has the 70w metal halide on there. SG - 1.023, nitrAtes - 0, nitrItes - 0, Ammonia - 0, calcium - 420.

Anyone know what this could be from?

Thanks in advance. :bum:

I wouldn't think so because he had them in not so much flow when they started doing it, then he moved them to more flow & still doing it.
Thanks though.

are they "bullseye" type shrooms? if so i had some green ones that would do the same thing, i left them alone and after a while they started splitting like crazy...

No these are Actinodiscus sp. The wierd thing is everything else in his tank including; capnella, xenia, multiple zoos, & rics & bulleyes & other mushrooms are doing great.
He decided to give them to me last night because they look as though they were just gonna die, they were even unattaching from the rock. They still don't look perfect, but a bit better in my tank.

Everything else is great in his tank, I'm stumped.

shrooms can be fickle creatures....i think my lack of understanding of shrooms rivals my lack of understanding of women.
