i currently have a 3" Bristletooth Tang, added it about 3-4days ago..i can't really see it swimming bec. it hides alot, but i do see that it eats alot since it literally pasteurized my algae, is this normal (shy personality) ? i have 2 other tangs in my tank a Sailfin Tang and a Scopas Tang and they are both doing well swimming and grazing all the time....im concerned if the 3 can ever get along since it might stress the BT Tang.

T.i.A :)

I added a tomini to QT a few days ago myself, and he is extremely shy. I have to be real sneaky and slow moving to observe him. While I don't have enough experience to say shy behavior is standard, I can say that you are not alone.

How big is the tank?
Tomini should be outgoing but the other 2 might be too aggressive

realized my tanks too small for the Scopas so i had him adopted by our LFS earlier today, i only have an 80g, as soon as i took out my Scopas, the bristletooth went nuts eating the nori i clipped so i guess the whole tank was just too tight for the 3 of em.

I have had two tominis and both of them were extremely shy at first. I think, in time, yours will get used to his/her environment and venture out more. They are great fish. When I get my 300g set up a tomini will definitely be one of the tangs I select.

yep i agree on this, so far the tomini's swimming and getting along with the rest of the tankmates, im gonna take a picture if i catch it when im out of the office hehehehe

I have one now and had onother in the past. They are a bit timid at first but gain confidence to be out and about with time.
