Seriously dude! where are the pics? :)

Sorry guys I have two problems right now, have a big review that I am writing and have had no time to even sleep. Also I forgot how to imbed pictures into a thread and dont want to screw it up a few times like I had in past threads. If someone could PM the exact instructions on how to do this I would really appreciate it and will try to post tonight.

QO3000 Mod 1.0

QO3000 Mod 1.0

Here is the venturi, it is simply the bottom of one of those disposable margarita glasses filed doen to 15 mm at the small end and small enough on the other to fit inside the stock QO3000 pipe fitting

Looks like me showing some facts and voicing my opinion based on them got this thread closed...

Thats funny... I thought I was paying ATI a huge compliment by saying their new pump would be a huge bonus because it wasnt a Sicce PSK. After working with these Sicce pumps for a bit, Im kinda let down. They arent very quiet out of the water, and the QO 3000 is a better pump for the money. Their power factor is horrible, and as a consequence they run very hot. I modified the venturi, and get a nice 40scfh now on my skimmer, so its okay... but my eheim is much better.

To all of you with the Sicce pump.

today i got one pump from jason and and immediately i saw the problem .

if you take out the cover of the pump you will see the hole in the back of the cover it's narrow , on the original Sicce it's 28mm wide on yours it's 17mm this restrict the pump performance , when i swap my cover the pump pull 25LPM without problem . sorry i don't have picture no cam.... it's the same pump and this is the only problem .

there is option to increase the hole :
you can do it with dremel or if you want to do it more Pro you will need to use a Stand Drill and 1" flat drill bit , there is enough space to drill it without to damage the shaft holder .

After that you will be able to pull 25LPM without problem when the pump connect ot the skimmer body .

I'll be getting the sicce pump within a few days that pulls 4000lph. IMO it should pull around 55-75scfh at around 30-40 watts. What do you think?

AH HA! Thanks Michael! Well Hahn, I guess you can pull the nails out of the Sicce coffin that you were so quick to decide on!

Mike, I tried that last week and mine went from 20 lpm to 25 lpm/55 scfm. I am now running it at 24 lpm as that is all the new skimmer cann handle.

Awesome Jason! Is that on the 16 inch body that you and I talked about?
