I am building a salt mixing station and re purposing my Sicce pump. It has threaded Female 3/4" NPT inlet and outlet. I want to mate the pump to 3/4" PVC sch 40. Is there a better way to do this other than using a threaded barb on the pump to a flex line to a barb glued into the PVC? See the links below to the barbs.

What is the correct terminology for a threaded 3/4"NPT to PVC adapter?

If you hard pipe it, it may be loud. I used silicone tubing between the barb adapter on the pump and the barb adapter on the PVC. Purchased it at Bulk Reef Supply.

The silicone tubing made a big difference. I was using the regular clear tubing but it was too loud with it.

I do the same with mine - the flexible piece helps to decouples the rest of the system from the vibrations.

Use a NPT to pvc slip fitting. I run 2 syncra 3.0's hard plumbed on my 120. They are silent. Just make sure to put the rubber feet on them.
