Hi I have an Achilles Tang that has been with me for just 5 days just yesterday he began to eat brine shrimp w spirulina. He had a mild bout of ick the 2nd day that resolved in 1 to 2 days. Today while feeding spectrum pellets for the other fish, since he still does not eat them, I noticed he has a white velvety spot of about 1 cm (he is around 5 inch long) next to (and including) his right lateral fin. This also include his gill. Apart from this he still very active in fact I gave him brine shrimp and ate a lot more than yesterday. All other fish does not show any signs, and are behaving normally. The fish are Powder blue Tang, Magnificent Foxface, Yellow tang, Fire Angel, Blue face Angel, Fire goby, Sand goby, yellowspotted goby, sixline wrasse. The powder blue is a little aggresive toward him but since the achilles is bigger does not atk him much. My question is what disease it is, should I treat him and with what or should I let it run it course. My water parameters are perfect, and i have a mixed reef aquarium.
