Sick Angel - I have no idea what is wrong

I put a juv. emperor angel into my 210 display yesterday. He is fat, eats great and breaths fine. When I woke up this morning his left side and right side had all the pattern missing? I can not tell if it was scraped off or something is eating away at his sides. I watched him for a few hours and did not see him scratch a single time. The only other sign is when he swims sometimes he gives a little twitch.

Thoughts? Ideas?

sounds like stress how did you aclimatise him.

keep a close eye on the fish for white spot or bacterial infection and be ready to treat in a hospital tank.
