Hello,
I enjoy your catalog and website liveaquaria very much. I recently placed an order with you folks-firefish goby, cernith snails and b&w false perc. They were packaged very well and appeared in good shape on arrival. Currently they are in my QT tank. The clown has not been eating well since arrival, I didn't worry too much- figured stress, etc. Started adding garlic to entice him to eat. Today I noticed what appears to be brooklynellosis-ie, excessive slimy mucous near gills on one side, extending onto fin and heavy breathing. I immediatly did a 30 min. formalin dip, which seems to have helped. So far, the goby is doing fine. I am pretty disappointed in the fish's health obviously. I did not expect to have problems like this in a tank bred clown. Also, I know you warantee covers death of fish, and it has not been 14 days as of yet...however, no one likes to spend $$$ on fish that end up diseased, require tx etc. Gives me reservations about ordering from you in the future.
sincerely,

Sugarridgeranch,

We sincerely apologize for the troubles you are experiencing with your Black and White Clownfish. We take extra care to ensure that any of our fish are disease free and eating before they are shipped. However, shipping is extremely stressful on fish and can sometimes lead to disease.

Treating with a formalin dip is one of the best ways to cure Brooklynella. This process may need to be repeated a few times and close monitoring is recommended.

If you could please PM us your order information, we will be happy to issue a credit for the Black and White Clownfish including your shipping fee. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.
