Sick Blenny????

My blenny isn't looking too good. I am not sure if he is sick or just being shy. I have had him for about a week now. All my water parms are good. Salinity is 1.023, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0, Ph is a little low 7.8 Should I be concerned or just wait and see what happens. He is just sitting on the bottom with his mouth open and breathing heavier than he has before. Any suggestions as to what I should do or does anyone have an idea on how I can raise my pH to get it into the proper range. Thanks

Has he got anything to eat? Try some spirulina. You could add a little alkalinity buffer, Kent DKH buffer. Maybe bring salinity up .001.

I have been giving him dried algae sheets as well as algae flake food, it almost looks like he is trying to eat, but he can't move his mouth. It is very odd. Thanks.

Thanks for the information but shortly after posting this, he passed. Any ideas on why this happened would be greatly appreciated.

Maan, that sucks!!

I feel for you, they are cool fish, but very picky eaters, maybe you didnt have enough algae yet in your new tank, they love to graze LR.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking, I will have to wait and try again later. He did graze on the rock I had, but I don't know how much he was getting off of it.
