What do I do?? I have a 65 gallon tank with a cyanobacteria problem that I was taking care of with Eurythromyacin. Well 2 days into the 5 day dosing my BTA is looking pretty sad. Is it killing it or can it withstand the 5 day dosing???? HELP!!

as my personal rule of thumb, i never, NEVER dose anything into the tank that I can't test/measure for ...other ppl do things differently, but it's just something that I dont' do.

with that being said, I would a larger water change probably about 50%, and then smaller water changes over the course of the next few days, to dilute the antibiotic out and also so as to not shock your livestock.

how're your other inhabitants doing? corals, etc?

cyano can be combated without having to resort to chemicals. Dosing chemicals is asking for disaster in many cases (see above). I'd also stop dosing too.

Thanks guys. I will deff. stop dosing and do the 50% water change. Everything else is fine. Thank goodness! I did not want to loose my BTA's. I hope that it will come back from this. I will post an update.
