I got this frag from someone about a week ago. It is so sad looking. Is this to far gone or does anyone think I can help it out? Need some tips please.

Its hard to tell by that pic but I'd say with some TLC you can bring it back. You might want to try feeding it some meaty pieces of squid, krill, shrimp etc. Good Luck.

Candy Cane

Candy Cane's are tough little guys. When I happen upon a sick coral, I always feed them directly, a mixture of fresh clams, muscles, scallops, shrimp (uncooked), sea weed, selcon, and garlic extreme, blended together (you can find the recipe in Julian Sprungs "Coral" book)

If you have a lot of current, like I do, and hate to turn it off, or have fish and crabs that tend to steal your corals food, take a two liter bottle, and cut the top, clean it really well, and place the severed top over your coral. Then, use a turkey baister (spelling on that last one), or syringe to drop food on your coral. Works like a charm....

Yes that is how I feed my sun coral. I will use this method for the cc as well. Because I can never tell if it is eating or not because it is so small. Thank you all very much!!
