Yesterday one of my misbar clown was showing signs of ich (white spots, laying at the bottom) by morning, the spots were gone, and the clown was fine, I came home from work to find the clown with the white spots, at the bottom of the tank, and this time will not eat. Does anyone know what's going on? Im new to keeping saltwater fish, I have not seen this pattern with freshwater fish.

You'll get more help in this forum. It's common for the outer manifestations of ich to wax and wane early on, as the parasite goes through it's life cycle. I'd set up a hospital tank and start treating (I let the experts in here guide you on the treatments).

Hyposalinity or copper are my favorite choices. Sounds like tank transfer method is out for you. I currently favor hyposalinity. Hypo is explained in the sticky, but the long and short of it is to put the fish into salinity of 1.009 at the highest (i use 1.008 to give me wiggle room).

I went to Petco, which isn't my favortie place to shop, but I purchased Kordon ich attack. It is supposed to be reef safe. So far, the corals seems to be doing okay with it. Some of the zoas may not live through the treatment, they've been looking rough the past few days. I considered the hyposalinity, however, I seems to take some time and I am moving in two weeks. Thanks for the advice

From now on, I will be using a QT. I've kept freshwater for years and never really had problems. But I am finding that with saltwater, a QT is worth it.

I had some doubts about the Kordon. The fish seems to be doing better though, most of the white spots are gone and it's eating well again

Stay vigilant. Ich waxes and wanes, as I said above, so you need several weeks before you know if you've really got it nailed.

Definitely! I'd read the ich stickies at the top of this forum section. knowing the ich life cycle is vital and will make treatment methods make sense to you.

I monitor the clown every day and my fiancee does also. It seems to be doing very well. The last white spot disppeard. I am moving in eight days, so I expect the stress from the move may cause the ich to return. Thanks everyone for the help/advice
