So let me start by saying ammonia, nitrite, nitrate are all at 0. ph 8.2. He's in a qt now, with the same params. All other fish in the DT are doing absolutely incredible, and so was my lion up until a couple of days ago. His first symptoms were kind of hard to differentiate from how he would normally act, as he had been laying on his side or upside down from pvc since I got him. But the past couple of days, I've seen him on his side on the bottom of the tank, away from all substrate. Yesterday I tried moving him with a feeding stick, and he was just totally unresponsive. Today I pulled him out of dt and put him into qt with my bare hands. That should give you an idea of how motionless he is. I got home from work just now to see this nasty gunk covering one of his eyes, (or growing from it) and it looks like some scales on that side of his face have fallen/rotted off. This growth/deterioration happened within 12 hours.
I was feeding him a little excess at first, as he would always except it voraciously. But I found out that was a no no, and have had him on 2-3 ghost shrimp 2-3 times a week. I don't think over feeding caused this. Heres pictures
