Either bacterial alone or bacterial plus velvet.

Kanamycin (kanaplex) plus furan

UV properly set up (slow flow rate) is effective in reducing the spread, but is useless at this stage and cannot be used with antibiotics.

I always use UV during QT and this type of infection has been much reduced in frequency and severity, and transmitability. I feel naked without UV at this stage of QT, the first six-eight weeks.

Thanks for the answers what would cause an outbreak like this in my tank I have lost all my fish in the last 30 days all the fish I have have been in my tank for min of 4 months I changed nothing just curios
W
What do I do to display tank to cure it when can I put in new fish

I would leave the tank fishless for atleast 12 weeks to make sure whatever is in there is totally eradicated. I would also suggest you qt all new fish that you get so you wouldn't have to go through this again.

I´m really curious about this thread because almost a month ago my tank had an outbreak similar to this... Initially i thought was Ich but my fishes began dying few days after i looked my tangs with white dots... then I lose 7 of 10 fishes in 5 days... they were always eating good , but my tangs got cloudy eyes and their skin looked exactly like this fox face... The 3 remaining fishes are doing great with no more white dots even eating and swimming all around the tank...

That's what happened to all my other fish white dots thought Ick then cloudy eyes peeling skin then RIP my fox and pj Cardinal are still alive in qt not looking to good definitly in ICU I've been in this hobby on and off for long time never had any fish disease until now I'm thinking EBOLA Lol

I don't know exactly what disease it us but peeling skin and quick death is usually signs of brook.
I used to use cupramine in the past but now I do the tank transfer method on every new fish and then observe for min 3 weeks before adding them to my display. I also treat every fish with prazipro for atleast two rounds. Imo if you want to have a long term healthy tank, qt is key.
