Sick Naso Tang

Hi all,

I purchased a Naso Tang about a month ago and was doing fine until about 4 days ago. He stopped eating completely prior was eating like a pig. He swims with a slight tilt to his right and seems to have seizures. This all began just a few days ago. I've been in the hobby for many years and have never seen a fish with symptoms like this. Anyone's help is appreciated with an id on this as I would hate to lose him. Thanks.

Geez, that sounds terrible. Sometimes the only thing to do when a fish isn't eating and looks horrible is to do a general antibacterial in a QT. But maybe first try some garlic on his food or something to entice him to eat. Sounds like it may be internal though, so maybe a general medication would be best?

I hate to say but i had a spotted dragon goby doing the same thing for 6 days then died one morning. I had him for 3 months. :sad1: how long are his seizures mine lasted 30 minutes

The seizures only last a few seconds. He looks fine color is excellent but belly is pinched which could be due to not eating. This is the oddest thing I've ever seen in a fish. I was dosing Prazipro but now is no good since not eating.

the same thing has just happened to me, and I started dosing prazi pro today.

WOW, sorry to revive an old thread, but after searching for many many hours this is exactly what is happening to my Achilles Tang right now. Went perfect through 4 days of Prazi. Was eating like a pig prior to it. The longer prazi kept going the less and less he ate. Then on the 4th day he started have these seizure like actions. I did a 75% water change and he acts hungry goes to eat and then has 2 second shaking, gill, siezure.
