Sick or just its coat?

I think its just the coat but heh... it looks like mucus.

Only serious responses...

Any ideas?

Is it trying to be hosted in a different coral or anything?

Are they new fish?

That is brookynella.
You need to set up a QT and do a freshwater dip and possibly a formalin dip.

get fresh RO or RO/DI water, make sure the temp & PH are the same as the tank water & put the fish in it for 3 minutes. They may list to the side & look really pathatic but dont take them out.

Ok I got Formalin in a QT tank i just setup. Threw all the fish in that tank. Its a cheap AIO tank from walmart. Removed all carbon media. Using Filter in the hood for water circulations. Placed a few air stones in. The three clowns i have are not happy with the arrangement but they are all going to deal with it. How many times can i fresh dip the clowns in a 24 hour period and how long should i wait between dips. Should I discontinue the dips now that I have them in the QT formulin tank?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, one of them looks to be dying due to its illness. I hope its passing will be swift and quick. It has gone limp and its laying at the bottom of the tank.

Ok, Second day of treatment, no noticable change in appearance, white dots still cover second clownfish. Does anyone know how long this should take?

Yeah after my clown died, the other clown got 2 days to live then he die too. In the freshwater dip, dip it in that after you do a treatment dip. Watch the fish for 30-60mins until it starts to sink or shows signes of disstress. ALSO look up " Help my CLown fish's face is chapped" my old forum because there is better advice..
and put a poly filter pad in the QT, it will take out all the left over medication and extra organic materials. Good luck
