Have a large purple tip anemone that has been slowly getting smaller over the past to month. It appears to be healthy, tentacles look good but it looks to be pushing out its guts.
Any ideas and is there any hope?

What do you think? I just moved him directly under a 250w halide. SG .025, pH-8.0, Alk-8, good flow, good skimming, carbon. RBT's look good.

Okay every thing looks good.Just get the ammonia to 0 and the tank would be decent!I think it has to do with the anemone being on the rocks and not in the sand IMHO.Try moveing him very slowly to the sand bed and see what happens!

Humm...thats diffirent! How does he look now?Very odd that hes on a rock!I think it could be the other RBTA in the tank!

Am curious where this info comes from. I'd like to do some reading.

Well it comes from ALOT of anemone keepers. Why?Anemones have what we call "chemical war far".They release chemicals into the water to kill oneanother.Ask alot of people.Try WetWebMedia. They should have a topic about it.Ask some people on here.
