sick tang ?

I have what looks like a sick yellow tang, have had him about a week, looked good when I got him, but didn't really eat, today one eye is hazed over and his side looks rubbed raw ?or discolored? am trying to quickly set up a QT for him, what should I do? One book I have says to give him a freshwater dip?

well after an interesting chase I finally caught him, and gave him a 1-2 min freshwater dip as per the sick fish thread, and a few white crystals started to form on his body, then fell off, thanks clownbob77 for the info, will this come back again and again, how to prevent it ?

If the animal shows any signs of infection, some form of neomycin might be a good idea. The fish disease forum has more information on this topic.

Is the fish being harassed by a tankmate?
