Sick tang

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my tangs fins were getting nipped at (or so I thought) it has slowly gotten worse until today where he looks absolutely horrible. I'm guessing now that he is sick and not being attacked by the other fish.

Does anyone know what he has and what I can do about it? I used to feed him nori everyday until 3 months ago when I bought new lights and had more algae in the tank. Except that nothing has changed in the tank.

Fin rot, which needs to be treated in a hospital tank with antibiotics, Melafix is a good one.

The tang also looks gaunt. Tangs need to be feed algae every day. I would also feed with a little Selcon.

Definantly looks like fin rot. Put him in a hospital tank and treat with antibiotics as stated above. You need to feed him nori everyday whether you have algae in the tank or not. The natural algae is supplemental to the nori or dried seaweed you feed. Soaking the seaweed in Selcone will help him build up his immune system again and hopefully get him on his way to putting on the weight he has lost. Looks very skinny.
